Insurance CE Course Content

Spring 2012 Course Content

AM - 8:00am - 12:00pm - Homeowners Insurance, a review of definitions.

This course will examine the important definitions in a homeowners
insurance policy.  We will discuss how these pertain to the perils
covered and exclusions that are not covered.  We will also be looking
at the differences between different policies with different insurance
companies.

PM - 12:00pm- 4:00pm - Boat Insurance.

We are coming up on that time of year.  Boat coverage has unique
aspects to it that are important to know.  Because we don't work with
this product year round it is hard to stay on top of what is covered
and what is not. Make sure your client is making informed decisions
about their boat coverage.

These courses were offered Fall 2011

AM - Credit: Does your Insured have any control over what they pay for insurance?

This course will go over ways clients can review what is affecting their insurance score.  We will do simulations to demonstrate what changes the numbers, and by how much.

PM - Ethics:  Unfair trade practices review for agents

In this course we will discuss statutes regarding an agent’s and/or company’s behavior.  The insurance contract is a contract of good faith.  Higher standards are required of the individuals working in the insurance field.  We will review the statutes, and penalties for failure to comply.

***This course will satisfy the Ethics requirements of the Minnesota Commerce Department.***
